Rage Against the Machine
In late 2009 a successful campaign was launched by Jon Morter and his wife Tracy to promote an alternative to the omnipresent X-Factor winner being the Christmas #1 in the UK singles chart. The track they nominated as the alternative was “Killing In The Name” by Rage Against The Machine. The band supported the campaign, donated the proceeds from the sales to charity and lead singer Zack de la Rocha promised that Rage Against The Machine would perform a free concert in the UK to celebrate the achievement. This went ahead in Londons Finsbury Park on 6th June 2010 and is captured on this film. It is an exuberant performance by the band with the audience cheering them all the way to the inevitable climax of “Killing In The Name”.

Hall & Oates
When Daryl Hall and John Oates took to the stage at Sydneys Entertainment Centre as the iconic bass line of Maneater began to play, the fans knew they were in for a treat. This duo may have been opening concerts with that irresistibly smooth number for years, but it never seems to lose its magic, and the crowd – an eclectic mix of teens and baby boomers alike – lapped it up. Daryl Hall and John Oates wisely reunited a few years ago after a string of solo projects, and although Oates no longer sports his signature tache, they put on the kind of show that makes it hard to believe they even considered going their separate ways. Earworms like I Cant Go For That, Out Of Touch and Kiss On My List were surefire reminders that these guys are absolute hit machines, and their catchy synth-soul classics probably deserve to permeate the airwaves as much today as they did decades ago. These Philly crooners still have it in bucket-loads, so this show should have everyone from diehard Daryl Hall and John Oates fans to kids of the 80's groovin along in no time.

Con Brio
“I never heard anyone say that, and yeah, I know exactly what it means. It has to go in there, this has to be a song.” Every song has its own story, and we all think its a story weve heard before, but we havent. Songbook finds and captures these intriguing stories by pulling you into the process of writing and composing. Known for its pristine sound, cinematic 4k video and eye for detail, Songbook live-captured episodes emphasize the paramount importance of quality. It addresses the on-the-spot elements of blending song and location at the right moment. Both the magical location and remarkable music interaction will get the attention they deserve. Simply because Songbook isnt just a live music session, it lives. This episode of Songbook features San Francisco-based seven-piece band Con Brio, complete with Zeke McCarter (vocals), Benjamin Andrews (guitar), Johnathan Kirchner (bass), Andrew Laubacher (drums), Patrick Monaco Glynn (keys), Marcus Stephens (saxophone) and Brendan Lui (Trumpet). The band is named after an Italian musical direction, translating to with spirit. Living up to its name, Con Brio is known to electrify international crowds with its energetic soul, psych-rock and R&B that perfectly matches the artistic and innovative spirit of their home. Besides being, according to PopMatters the best new live band in America, Con Brio also lays great importance on addressing political matters in lyrics revolving around the Black Lives Matter movement and the representation of America abroad.

At The Disco's I Write Sins Not Tragedies. Before watching ourselves on film we never really realized how much we swear, bassist Pete Wentz wrote on the band's blog, by way of explaining the strange title for the release. It's pretty gross ... though it's edited as to not hurt your little munchkin ears. And as for how to say the name, well any little four letter word will work..

Peter Gabriel
This documentary tells the story behind the making of Peter Gabriels 1986 album “So”. The album spawned a number of hit singles on both sides of the Atlantic including “Sledgehammer”, “Big Time”, “Dont Give Up” (a duet with Kate Bush) and “In Your Eyes” which drove “So” to multi-platinum sales, the No.1 spot in the UK and No.2 in the US. “So” was very much an album of the MTV generation and the distinctive videos for tracks like “Sledgehammer”, “Red Rain”, “Big Time” and “Dont Give Up” were key factors in the albums success. The programme features contributions from many of those involved in the making of the album and the videos including Peter Gabriel himself, co-producer Daniel Lanois, engineer Kevin Killen and musicians Jerry Marotta, Laurie Anderson, Tony Levin and Manu Katché amongst many.
