It addresses the on-the-spot elements of blending song and location at the right moment. Both the magical location and remarkable music interaction will get the attention they deserve. Simply because Songbook isnt just a live music session, it lives. This episode of Songbook features Dutch producer, DJ and innovator San Holo, born Sander van Dijck. On his LP, simply titled album1, the 28 year-old combines danceable EDM with elements of indie. Before releasing music of his own, he gave guitar lessons to children while studying music production and guitar at Rotterdam's Codarts University for the Arts . While remaining faithful to the guitar, San Holo now also uses his vocals and electronic elements to create unique sounscapes, captivating listerners on the dancefloor and in atmospheric acoustic performances alike.

Every July since 2001, France's Musiques en Stock music festival has invited thousands of contemporary music listeners to the small city of Cluses. The festivals lineup invariably includes a wide range of artists from a variety of music genres. One of the acts of the festival's 2016 edition was Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires. For decades Bradley made a living singing the music of James Brown, until he was discovered by Daptone Records, which eventually released Bradleys four albums. Rooting his music in funk, soul and R&B, Bradley is hailed for shaping the sound of the record label that first acknowledged his individuality. His 2016 performance at Musiques en Stock is on the way to become a classic that epitomizes everything Bradley represents: it is full of raw energy, urban Afro-American culture, and classic 1960s vibes.
