Revisor Crystal Pite (choreography) Kidd Pivot (dance company) Directed by Jeff Tudor Recorded at the Sadler's Wells, London Neither simply dance or traditional theatre, but an exciting and exhilarating new form that transcends either genre. Revisor is performed by 10 incredible dancers of Pite's company Kidd Pivot, to a soundtrack recorded by 9 voice actors. The dancers lip sync to the actors' words in Pite's trademark fluid, expressive and witty style. Revisor is based on a Russian anecdote about mistaken identity that surfaced in 1833, and quickly spread. It is now widely accepted as probably true. In 1836, the story took shape in a five-act play: The Government Inspector (Revisor) by Nikolai Gogol. The play premiered in St. Petersburg before the Czar who, according to reports, laughed and applauded, and is said to have remarked Everybody gets it, and I most of all! The play was in disguise as a comedy.

Apparitions Antonin Tri Hoangn, Alto saxophone , clarinet, Geoiffroy Gesser, Tenor saxophone , Pierre Borel, Amtp saxophone, Aymeric Avice, trompet, Isabel Sörling, voice, Romain Clerc-Renaud, piano, Keyboard, Thibault Cellier, double bass, Yann Joussein, drums, Elie Duris, drums La musique d'Ornette Coleman a changé le cours des choses. On a parlé de free jazz, mais ce n'est pas un autre jazz, c'est une musique autre, créative . Depuis ses débuts (dans l'ONJ de Daniel Yvinec), Antonin Tri Hoang n'est pas sans évoquer Ornette : meme lyrisme tarabiscoté, meme gout du dérapage contrôlé. Au lieu d'une dissertation sur l'ouvre, il a proposé des reves, des ponts évocateurs, pas un revival, mais un survival . Avec, aux manettes, le quartette Novembre et des invités qui maîtrisent a la perfection l'art du zapping et du collage. Ce qui n'est pas sans rappeler John Zorn, un autre grand fils (spirituel) d'Ornette.
