To take on the legendary Northwest Passages in his hand-built wooden boat; Breskell.  In order to succeed the crew will have to brave 5,000 miles of Arctic storms, polar bears and a constantly moving maze of thick arctic sea ice. After a horrible crash in Nazaré that almost took her life, big wave surfer Maya Gabeira fights to overcome physical and mental obstacles and return to surf the giant waves again.  Maya Gabeira, the Brazilian surfer that was close to death in 2013 in Nazaré due to big waves. Master wooden boat builder Olivier D. Huin is back with his crew of Arctic explorers, this time with a much bolder challenge. To take on the legendary Northwest Passages in his hand-built wooden boat; Breskell.  In order to succeed the crew will have to brave 5,000 miles of Arctic storms, polar bears and a constantly moving maze of thick arctic sea ice. Mitu Monteiro, a Cape Verdean kitesurfer and multi-time world champion, attempts the solo crossing of the twelve volcanic islands of his native archipelago, never accomplished before.  Taking on more than 730km of kitesurfing, interspersed with island traverses by only man-powered means totalling approximately 200km, Mitu's challenges lay ahead of him. Master wooden boat builder Olivier D. Huin is back with his crew of Arctic explorers, this time with a much bolder challenge. To take on the legendary Northwest Passages in his hand-built wooden boat; Breskell.  In order to succeed the crew will have to brave 5,000 miles of Arctic storms, polar bears and a constantly moving maze of thick arctic sea ice. To date, the VENDÉE GLOBE is the only solo sailing race around the world that is non-stop and without assistance. The event followed in the wake of the Golden Globe that initiated the first circumnavigation of this type via the three capes (Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn) in 1968.   44,996 kilometres, or 24,296 miles. That is the circumference of the Earth. The Vendée Globe accomplishes in 74 days this planetary voyage as participants sail down the Atlantic, across the Indian and face the challenges of the Pacific Ocean. After a horrible crash in Nazaré that almost took her life, big wave surfer Maya Gabeira fights to overcome physical and mental obstacles and return to surf the giant waves again.  Maya Gabeira, the Brazilian surfer that was close to death in 2013 in Nazaré due to big waves. She had to be rescued by lifeguards who struggled to get her out of waves that didn't stop coming. 15 canyoneers go on a life-changing expedition to discover the immensity of Chilean Patagonia in search for untouched territories, rivers and waterfalls organised by the Regard sur l'Aventure association. Their goal: to explore this mysterious land and spot and open over 30 canyons on a land where canyoneering is close to non-existent.  For some, Rios Patagonicos is the opportunity to go on an expedition for the first time.
