Started in 1973 as the Whitbread Round the World Race, the Volvo Ocean Race is the ultimate test of sailing prowess, a battle across four oceans and six continents. Starting in Alicante, the 13th edition will take the competing teams 45,000 nautical miles around the world for a once-in-a-lifetime extreme sailing race.
